Postby enold13 on Sun Mar 22, 2009 3:35 am

I have grown up and lived in sherrodsville, Ohio all my life. In my younger years my friends and I would go to an old cemetery Northeast of town to hang out. Ive always heard it called Robie Cemetery? I know own the land the cemetery sits on, some stones are still very nice, others are in bad shape to almost gone. The oldest site it from 1740 to 1777 its a great stone all by itself in the bottom of the graveyard. The newest are form the mid to late 1800s. Heard tale of it being a family and pet cemetery, can anyone help me on this?? Any info would be great and anyone wanting to visit it would be my geust.

Carroll Co. Cemetery

Hello and thanks very much for your kind offer. It's rare that an owner of land with a cemetery is willing to allow folks to research a private cemetery. I'm sure there are volunteers in the area that would be interested in researching/transcribing your cemetery. I will try to contact the local county genealogical society and see if anyone has knowledge of this. Will get back to you as soon as I can. I will send you a private email directly, and would appreciate your postal address, (not on here, but by email) so I can get you in touch with your local gen society. Kindest regards. Robert
