Licking County Ohio

The purpose of this forum is to provide a means for folks to post questions/inquiries pertaining to locations of ancestral loved ones memorials or physical locations of cemeteries, in the state of Ohio. You may submit any question pertaining directly to cemetery research. I do not check this forum every day, so it might take a few days before I find your inquiry. Licking County Ohio

I am wondering if they is another name for the Ellis Chapel Cemetery. I have allot of Irwin's buried there, but cannot find it or them on the Ohio Gen Site for Licking Counties cemeteries. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :!:

I only find it as Ellis or Ellis Chapel. Could be it's not there as it's not been transcribed. I don't see it on the Tombstone site at

Ellis Chapel Cemetery

Hello, just checked my Licking County map and do find a Ellis Chapel Cemetery located on Pleasant Chapel Rd. (TR315). This cemetery is located north of SR40 (National Rd.) Pleasant Chapel Road starts at Linnville, Ohio and winds northward, you will cross Davis Rd. (TR310) and then Flint Ridge Road (CR312)Ellis Chapel is located just a short distance north of Flint Ridge Rd., just about in the center of Franklin Twp., Licking Co., OH, about 3 miles north of SR40. If I get a chance next weekend, perhaps I'll take a drive out that way and see if I can find it. If I get a chance to go, will look for Irwin memorials. Robert

Ellis Chapel Cemetery

Hello Hoosier, I drove out to Franklin Twp. and found Ellis Chapel Cemetery today. Spent about 3 hours there photographing memorials. Took about a hundred photos, some are overviews and found 31 containing Irwin surname. I'm in the process of formatting the images and writing a new page at the GenWeb Ohio Tombstone Photo Project. Will let you know as soon as I get them online, so you can view them. Hope they prove to be helpful for your genealogy research. Best regards. Robert
