I am looking for info on William Comstock, probably died in Meigs County. He lived there and was married to Elizabeth Ann Waters. He died some time between the 1850 Census and 1853.

I am also interested in any Comstocks of Ohio, even those not related to me, because I am having to sort through all possibilities to identify William's parents...may as well organize the information for others. :)

Thanks,
J.

Hi J.,

This really isn't the place for research but you might check out the url at:
http://files.usgwarchives.net/oh/meigs/newspapers/gnw19meigscou.txt

This talks about Mrs. Elizabeth Comstock suing someone named Smith for breach of a marriage contract.

More info might be found in the Ohio USGenWeb Archives

Good luck,
Maggie
